Chouchin Shuzo, established in 1868, is a traditional sake brewery located in Tsushima City, the westernmost point of Aichi Prefecture, Japan. The brewery is led by Masayuki Kuwayama, who serves as both the owner and master brewer. The brewery utilizes water from an on-site well with high mineral content, imparting a firm, acidic backbone to their sake, which also enhances aging potential. Their signature "Shinbunshi" line features bottles wrapped in local Tsushima newspaper, reflecting regional heritage.
